Some people complain that Drake without Lil Wayne is too melancholy, maybe he is.
And this song can definetely be described as depressing, but I still love it.
The wordplay, the lyricsim, the poetry and the amazing flow.

Michael Jackson... a year on
It's a year since Michael Jackson died, I'm not an expert on him. I'm just a lover of good music.
The day Michael Jackson died, was the day music died.
And let us not focus on his controversies, and let's remember his achievements.
Without Michael Jackson there would be no Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Tupac, Drake, Usher, Ne-Yo. He was the pioneer of bringing black music to the forefront of commerical music.
I love music, so I automatically love him.
I salute you Michael Jackson, and we all owe you greatly x

Happy Birthday 2pac
If 2pac was still alive today,he would've been 39 today.
The day 2pac died, a little bit of hip hop died. I don't admire him just as a rapper, but I have a lot of respect for him as a poet.
I think all hip hop fans wonder if 2pac was still alive would hip hop be different? Would it have become as commercial as it did, would people like Soulja Boy, Chingy, J-Kwon etc would've been able to get record deals? Would West Coast hip hop be on top, would Southern Hip Hop become popular? Who knows? But what we all know that he was a credit to music regardless of genre.
I would also like to post one of the best poems ever written. I was toying with uploading the video for the poem, but 2pac himself didn't read it and it lacked the powerfullness of his voice.
The Rose that Grew from Concrete
Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.

Nigeria Lost :(, But Africa has won anyway
Unfortunately Nigeria lost, but I'm going to be optimistic because Nigerians are naturally optimistic.
Anyway even though they lost they're still winners in my heart, and this world cup has been triumph for africans worldwide because it is held in South Africa and bringing Africa to the forefront of culture and sport, hopefuilly this changes the negative view held of Africa, and that Africa can be finally seen as a prosperous innovative continent.
Anyway I'll leave you with some beautiful Nigerian music, that celebrates Africa in its glorious entirety.
And good luck to all the African nations in the World cup
I love the ending when he says "so black,so beautiful", this is definetely a subject i will be adressing in my blog next week

Lil Kim Soldiers Coming For Nicki Minaj Drops A Diss Video Called Barbie... & My view on all the Nicki Haters
Ohhhh gosh another Nicki Hater!
I'm getting sick of all these wannabes trying to make a name for themselves by attacking Nicki Minaj.
This diss just exposes that this woman is jealous, because Nicki is ten times sexier, is signed and is making more money than her.
Fair enough I've said Minaj isn't the best rapper but she doesnt deserve all this. First of all Lil Kim is asking her to pay homage, Drake was right when did Jay-Z or Kanye ask Drake to pay homage to them.
This is a female thing, and as a female myself, I have to admit that women are naturally jealous.
Lil Kim is mad that Minaj is influenced her and is the female rapper with the most attention right now, but lets be honest Lil Kim sees in Nicki Minaj what Kim used to be. Its no secret that plastic surgery has destroyed Lil Kim's face and Nicki Minaj is one of the most beautiful black women of our times and is also the sex symbol of this decade.
Jay-Z and Kanye don't face these problems, there not attractive men (Drake isnt either), but male rappers dont depend on their sexuality for album sales, they depend on their content whilst female rappers do, because the hip hop fan base is predominantly male.
Hey, I'm a girl who listens to urban musi and most of the music I listen to is misogynistic.
Anyway what I'm saying is that Lil Kim is threatened, because she knows it and we know it that Minaj is way sexier than Kim and at the end of day nobody cares if Minaj can rap because we're too busy admiring her curves (and shes not that bad a rapper, gosh! J-Kwon was worse).
Women need to stop hating, and need to start being more positive.
And Minaj, do your thing because as I always say haters are a sign of success.
And P.S that woman in the "barbie killa" video looks awful.
Speaking of female rappers
And i dont know if they should call this female allstars, (lady fury is a woman? looooooooooooooooooooooool)
REAL FEMALE RAPPERS....
I'm sick of hearing all this "baddest bitch" and "black barbie" stuff.
Women need to stop devaluing themselves to just sex objects for men, and we need to stop calling ourselves bitches, its nearly as bad as black people calling themselves the n word.
So instead of posting some pop Nicki Minaj songs, and some Lil Kim music, lets listen to women who rely on their vocals & lyrics rather than just their silicone enhanced bodies to sell records. (yes, i went there)
Ms. Hill
No Lay, yeah she's not hip-hop but she's an amazing lyricist and I don't want Americans thinking British female rappers are all badly dressed chavs like Lady Sov (yuck, she's repulsive)

KING JAY-Z

Jay-Z has now been crowned the King of America according to Rolling Stone magazine, and I have to agree, I would also say he's the king of rap and he's an icon of the noughties, I just wonder how he's going to fare in this decade, he'll be pushing 50.
I love Jay-Z for the following songs; Song cry, H to the izzo, Empire state of mind, Girls Girls Girls, 99 problems.
The other day my dad and I were watching X-Factor, and Usher appeared and my dad said "The reason why I admire these Americans, Usher and especially that Jay-z fellow is because they are businessmen as well as rappers." I have to concur, a lot of UK artists could learn a lot from this.
You can't compare some overpriced BBK t-shirts to Rocawear, Sean John and BabyPhat.
But anyway, let me leave you with my favourite Jay-Z song, and this is the song I think best illustrates his rise to fame from the brooklyn slums.
He's an inspiration, he's the King of America and maybe the King of Music...

Can Anybody Hear Me? -Nicki Minaj [[ LYRICS ]]
4.5/5
I just stumbled upon this, and it dawned upon me that Nicki Minaj was much better when she wasn't signed. Because I might seem like a Minaj basher but this is a really good song, it shows her talent and it is quite heart wrenching.
In this song Minaj shows her dissatisfaction with labels ignoring her and not taking herself seriously. She really does remind me of Marylin Monroe. Monroe who hated only being famous because of her sex appeal. And I'm afraid that I think more of Minaj's music under labels will just concentrate on her body and ignore the fact she is actually a talented rapper.
But I do have to agree with Def Jam, you're no Lauryn Hill.
But you're Nicki Minaj, and when you're the real Nicki Minaj, you really are one of the baddest bitches.
And everybody watch Lil Kim's twitter, she is going all out for Nicki.

Chris Brown Visa Denied

Shame.
He has to pay for his crime.
There was time when I felt sorry for Chris Brown, but I've never been hit before by a boyfriend but I know people who have and I've seen the pain its put them through.
This is an example to people tha you can't go around hitting people that you're supposed to love and not face the punishment due to you.
Fair enough, everybody makes mistakes but i think this is a lot more than a mistake.
And to be honest Chris Brown is pretty rubbish at the moment.
And before you feel sorry for Breezy, rememeber the pictures of Rihanna.

Drake and Nicki grinding, plus Drake insults Lil Kim!
WOAHH, Drizzy just involved himself in the Minaj Vs Lil Kim beef.
Drake says that Minaj isnt the baddest bitch, she is the baddest woman (thanks for that, women really shouldn't be calling themselves bitches), but then Drake goes on to say "She is the baddest woman to eer do this rap shit". Is Drake out of his mind? I actually wanted to slap him across the face, what seriously good SOLO music has Minaj made? Massive Attack is a good video, and a pretty average song, her hips just save her. I really think people hardly pay any attention to Minaj's music, they just admire her body.
What has Drake been smoking, has he forgotten Missy Elliot, Lauryn Hill (the queen in my opinion), Eve, Lil Kim obviously, Foxxy Brown, Salt n Pepa, Trina, Remy Ma?
Please Drake, this isn't funny.
And yeah I think Lil Kim should leave Nicki Minaj alone, and to be honest I dont think the music Lil Kim is making right now is any good, but still Nicki Minaj isnt better her.

Drake - Unforgettable feat. Young Jeezy (Official Version) (CDQ)
As I said on youtube:
drake is one the defining artists of our time, and he will go on to define this decade
5/5
Drake Ft. Lil Wayne - Miss Me (Full Version + Single Art Work)
THESE TWO ARE JUST THE BEST RIGHT NOW.
nothing but adoration for this song, how can Lil Wayne say "She masturbate to me That's how she learn every song?"
Lil Wayne's verse is better, but this definetely 10/10
I will DEFINETELY be buying Thank Me Later, so I can thank Drake for making relevant music, making this an exciting decade already, and injecting creativity into the music industry!
Nicki Minaj - Massive Attack
Do you like this song?
I dont even know if I like this song.
Actually i do like it, I definetely do not love it.
The video is incredible, a spectacle in itself, but the song isn't.
Its not terrible, but it is quite forgettable.
If Nicki Minaj was as talented as she was beautiful she would be the female drake, but unfortunately she isn't.
She's halfway there with her flow, but she needs more good lyrics.
I mean she could be worse, she could be Chingy!
GREAT SONG
Great song, shameful I only discovered it now
Oh well, what do you expect I never watched Kidhulthood
NIcki Minaj Steals Tokyo Divas Swag
Nicki Minaj truly confuses me.
Although I admire her beauty, her pysique, her confidence and somtimes her rare gems of wisdom, I would be absolutely deaf if I thought she was a talented rapper.
She is nowhere near Lil Kim, Foxxy Brown or Missy Elliot in the female rapper stakes and its even worse that she's part of the rap supergroup Young Money which boasts talented rappers such as Drake, Gudda Gudda and of course Lil Wayne. Minaj's lyrics arent memorable, I always forget Masssive Attack that is why I listen to it everyday to remind myself exactly what she said.
But in relation to the video I just posted, Minaj has been under fire recently from Lil Kim who accuses her of biting her style... and I agree. Nicki Minaj is basically just a photocopy of Lil Kim for this new decade, but unfortunately for Kim, Nicki Minaj's face isnt destroyed by plastic surgery, she has Diddy on her side as well as youth. But now Minaj is facing a new hater, and this is in the form of Tokyo Diva. Tokyo Diva is a myspace queen, (myspace was so 2006 i might add) who claims that Nicki Minaj stole her swag, her style and basically her identity. At first I completely agreed with Tokyo, and I completely believed her when she said that label mongers come to the stylish new york districts to find styles to steal but then I thought about it. Tokyo was saying how Nicki Minaj isn't a barbie, because barbies are meant to be small and as someone who is a little more on the voluptous size, I found myself a little annoyed with this Tokyo. So because I'm a size 12, I can't be a barbie? I'm sick of being told that I can't be cute and pretty because I'm not a flat chested size zero. For your information Tokyo Diva, I can be Barbie, just in a bigger size. And this reminded me of why I do admire Minaj because she does show that everyone is beautiful, that barbie can be black, barbie can be hip hop, barbie can have a big butt and boobs, barbie can be whoever you want to be not what Tokyo Diva dictates a Barbie should be.
Then Tokyo Diva was talking about the blonde wigs, I j hope the next person Tokyo calls out is Wendy Williams, or maybe even Beyonce.
You know what I think, maybe Nicki Minaj did steal Tokyo Diva's swag by calling herself Harajuku Barbie, but didn't Tokyo Diva steal her style from Japan, because she clearly is not Japanese. And to be honest Nicki Minaj is doing what Tokyo Diva appeared to be doing ten times better and unfortunately Nicki Minaj oozes sex appeal, which I don't think Tokyo Diva does.
At the end of the day everybody steals somebody else's image, but unfortunately it boils down to who does it better. And in this game Tokyo, Nicki Minaj clearly won. Keep trying love.
